It's seriously giving me shivers and I've yet to see more than a few brief moments of gameplay. That's the sort of legacy that Amnesia has created after only a single game. Just hearing Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs' title makes me want to turn off the computer and read a pleasant story while I'm wrapped in a blanket. Worse yet, now we have the knowledge that it's right outside the door. It launches September 10.
Co-developers with Frictional Games, The Chinese Room dropped this tweet earlier this morning:
So, the secret is out- Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs is set for release on 10th September! Can't wait for all you little piggies to play it.— The Chinese Room (@ChineseRoom) August 16, 2013
Yes, we are the piggies, but we are not the only piggies in Amnesia. There are other, apparently noisy pigs who want nothing more than to meet you and talk about what's for dinner. I'm absolutely dreading the first time I hear a pig squeel in-game. In fact, I don't want to even play anymore. Everyone, please tell me how scary it is.
Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs will be available on PC starting September 10 for $15.99. Preorders are available now on GoG.
