It feels like we haven't seen much Watch Dogs in recent weeks, right? Take to heart that Watch Dogs has been keeping its eye on you. How? Why, with Chicago, Illinois' state of the art CTOS surveillance system. In Ubisoft's brand spanking new Watch Dogs gameplay trailer we get a firsthand look at what Chicago's CTOS system is and what it really means that Aiden Pearce has full access and control over it.
In today's trailer hacking is detailed in Watch Dogs. Hacking phones, changing the environment, turning off the lights, opening gates and such. While they never show the UI and exactly how the player actually interacts with the hacking network and tech features, they do show what plays out on-screen. I guess we can assume most hacking occurs simply at the press of a button? At no point is the screen cluttered by a myriad of menus, so everything must just be simple button combinations.
Something else I wanted to mention is just how crazy Watch Dogs seems right now, considering the huge NSA controversy going on in North America. Taking into account that President Obama is from Chicago, suddenly Watch Dogs seems like much more pointed social commentary than the developers may have initially intended.
Watch Dogs launches November 19 on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, then later in the year on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
