Payday 2 launches today, everyone! Though to be fair, depending on your preferred method of purchase availability may be... dubious. If a digital purchase of Payday 2 is your style, PC and PlayStation 3 versions of the game shall be waiting for you (perhaps even now). However, if retail boxes are what you want, well, results may differ on a store-by-store basis. Boxes have shipped, but who is to say what's arrived and what's on store shelves. Soon!
In addition we now have the Payday 2 launch trailer, which captures a freeze frame moment from what in my experience could be virtually any in-game moment of a single match. We fly around the map where an ongoing robbery is taking place and see what terrible chaos and mayhem our four anti-heroes are bringing about. It's both sobering, terrifying, and yet my heart beats faster each time I watch it. It's... well, I don't want to think about it anymore.
I've been able to play some of Payday 2 over the weekend and unfortunately our review will have to be delayed. I've had extensive technical issues including many hard crashes and hours of progress lost. I'd love to recommend Payday 2 straight away based off of my actual in-game experiences, but maybe a bit of a wait a few dats to see if they're pervasive?
Payday 2 is now available on PC via Steam, and PlayStation 3 via PSN. Check store shelves over the coming week for retail boxes for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
