Maybe we'll see some SNES classics on the 3DS now... Since theoretically demand should increase.

Call me stupid, but I don't really get this or see why it's a big deal.

So...you use your smartphone to pay for stuff on the eShop? But can't you just do that on the console since you'd have to access the eShop on the 3DS to download the software anyway?

The reason I'm happy for this is because it says we can manage our Nintendo Network IDs from our phones and computers. That would mean that the 3DS version of NNID could be coming our way shortly, coinciding with a rumor about such a thing from a few months ago.

I can see why this would be a big deal on mobile devices, but not so much PC. When are you ever going to be in a dire situation where you are on a computer, but your 3DS is on the other side of the room and you desperately need to buy the game right now...

I guess the same can be said for phone access, but at least with phones (at least those with 3G) you can buy when you're a considerable distance from your 3DS or if in an area in which your 3DS is not able to connect to WiFi.

Still, since everyone else is doing it...

Yeah, this has always struck me as a useless feature as well. Glad for those that want it/will use it, but I could really care less.

The big thing will be when/if they combine the ID and shop moneys across both systems, that will actually be nice.
