A surprise retail listing popped up for a something named Capcom Essentials for the PlayStation 3. The leaked bundle packages up five games, one each from some of Capcom's most popular franchises. While not all of them are the most modern release in the franchise, they are all some of the best reviewed titles from the company in recent memory. Then again, most reviewers are absolutely crazy.
Here's a list of the five games included in the Capcom Essentials bundle:
- Devil May Cry 4
- Dead Rising 2
- Super Street Fighter IV
- Resident Evil 6
- Megaman 10
Yeah, I was surprised too when I saw Devil May Cry 4 instead of DmC: Devil May Cry, as well as Super Street Fighter IV without the Arcade Edition content. Also, who would pay money for Resident Evil 6 no matter what it was bundled with? Oh, oh now it makes sense.
It's extremely telling to see Resident Evil 6 bundled with these other games with very little selling value any more. Capcom's pulling a rather devious scheme to increase sales of Resident Evil 6 by bundling it with more popular titles that haven't sold well in some time. Still, if you actually want each of these games then more power to you. It'll still be savings, considering Capcom is a publisher that rarely drops prices on its games. Dolla dolla bill, y'all.
If the Capcom Essentials retail listing is to be believed, it will be coming to PlayStation 3 and almost certainly Xbox 360 as well. The price is listed as $60.
