Americans may love their football, but the rest of the world has their own version of the game, and its popularity means high sales numbers for EA's FIFA series. In their recent financial report, the publisher revealed that FIFA 13 brought in $70 million in revenue from digital sales alone -- and within a single quarter.
The number represents digital revenue in Q1 2013, which encompasses a two-month period stretching from April 1 to June 30, 2013.
In other FIFA game news, FIFA Online 3 saw an 88% in growth in the first quarter compared to FIFA Online 2 last year. It now claims to be the top online sports game in Korea. Plans to release the game in China are underway.
