Cosplay may not be for everyone. Proper cosplay does require a lot of time and/or money, after all, which is exactly why we love seeing other people show off their hard work. All the better if their outfits absolutely rock.
We've been running into cosplayers throughout Preview Night and Day 1, which you guys have no doubt already noticed if you checked the galleries from the last several days. While Saturday will no doubt see the most cosplayers, we wanted to share with you some of our favorites from Friday, Day 2. These include the Ice King and princesses from Adventure Time, a dapper Booker from BioShock Infinite, an undead ballet dancer (Anyone know if this is from anything?), and a trio of Mass Effect 2 ladies.
Granted, that FemShep isn't exactly Holly Conrad, but we salute her and her commitment to accuracy. The shade of her hair is almost spot on. I can't imagine what a pain it is to put on all that blue paint, either, in Liara's case.
My personal favorite isn't from any game or comic, however, but a Pixar movie. An older couple attended Comic-Con dressed up as Carl Fredricksen and Kevin (a lady, appropriately), and they were absolutely charming. Definitely an unexpected and lovely surprise. Incidentally, Mr. Fredricksen was voiced by Ed Asner, the same man behind Master Vrook from Knights of the Old Republic II.
And yes, we did make sure to include some Star Wars in there.
