Sam Fisher is set to return next month in Splinter Cell: Blacklist, as he leads the newly formed Fourth Echelon against a terrorist group launching a series of escalating attacks against US assets. Fisher and his new team have to use whatever means possible to stop the attacks, and it means he'll become what his enemies fear the most. A new trailer, dubbed "Transformation," shows us exactly what that entails for Fisher and crew.
Blacklist brings back many of the familiar Splinter Cell gameplay elements we know and love (including Spies vs. Mercs), while also introducing some new ones. Most of those are on display in the trailer below, which shows Fisher doing what he does best; sneaking up behind enemies and taking them out. It also shows some intense moments, like a plane crashing and what appears to be Fisher and a partner getting its landing gear deployed. There's plenty more to see, and so far, everything looks like a fantastic return to what Splinter Cell is all about.
Splinter Cell: Blacklist arrives on August 20 for the PC, PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii U.
