Ever find yourself wishing you could play a game while it's installing? Well, you can stop wishing fairly soon, because Microsoft has confirmed that the Xbox One will allow users to play downloadable titles during the... downloading.
This news reportedly comes directly from Microsoft, and was confirmed to Polygon by a company representative. Microsoft did say priously that the console would let users play disc-based games while installing, but this is a new thing for the Xbox One. No longer will you have to watch the progress bar on your TV.
Sony also announced last week a partial-download function for the PlayStation 4, which lets users play a game as long as certain portions of the download is complete. The PS4 will also let you play a disc copy while it's installing, as with the Xbox One.
