Time and Eternity, the JRPG from Imageepoch and Satelight, is available today! NIS America's localization of the quirky game starts with a wedding, an assassination, and a surprising revelation about the bride -- then things get weird. Filled with oddball and slightly perverted humor, Time and Eternity is just one of those RPGs you have to experience for yourself, but I'd probably start by reading my hands-on preview of the game.
NIS America Marketing Coordinator David Alonzo offered the following comment on what to look forward to in Time and Eternity:
"We’re really excited about this title, and we hope you will be too! It’s an exhilarating JRPG that incorporates a fast-paced combat system and gorgeous 2D character illustrations in a 3D environment for a truly unique gaming experience. It also features an amazing soundtrack by Yuzo Koshiro, the man behind the music of Streets of Rage and, more recently, Etrian Odyssey. We’ve also got some exciting DLC for the game featuring more areas to explore, more items, and more of VOFAN’s incredible artwork. Please check out Time and Eternity today, dood!"
Whatever you have to say about Time and Eternity's unique personality, there's no question that there's an impressive quality to the art and sound of the game. Plus, NIS America really is one of the most dedicated localization studios out there, so you can trust that their work will preserve the originally intended experience as much as possible. In a time where mainstream JRPGs are all but extinct, the niche JRPG shall reign supreme.
Pick up Time and Eternity today exclusively on PlayStation 3. Watch the launch trailer below and make sure to read my hands on preview for a better idea of what the game's all about.
