Codemasters has announced their first game as part of their exclusive multi-year partnership with Formula One World Championship Limited. Introducing the aptly named F1 2013, coming the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 this fall, which takes all of the cars, circuits and star drivers of the tour and puts you in control. A rather terrifying though, isn't it?
F1 2013 will be sold in two editions, the standard edition and then a "Classic Edition" that provides a few additional DLC packs in addition all of the standard content. The first pack announced is the 1990s pack, which includes two classic cards from Williams and Ferrari and drivers like David Coulthard, Jacques Villeneuve, Eddie Irvine and Alain Prost. Both the 1990s pack and the as yet other pack will be available to standard edition owners as premium DLC.
RaceNet, Codemasters' community hub, will also be fully implemented in F1 2013. The service is fully feature in GRID 2, for those who have played that game. According to the press release the hub will offer weekly challenges, statistics and progress updates in comparison to friends. It's also free, which is a plus.
