As Bethesda teased so directly yesterday, Dishonored's second story DLC for Daud has been officially announced. Dishonored: The Brigmore Witches will continue Daud's adventure from The Knife of Dunwall as he hunts down coven-leader Delilah. Unlike Daud, we all know where his sordid tale ends, but that doesn't change the fact that his trip getting there will be well-worth the experience.
Bethesda has made available a short list of features included in the DLC:
- Powers, Weapons, and Gadgets - With the Outsider's mark, Daud can now employ powers like Pull, Summon Assassin, and Void Gaze which locates Runes and Charms. Also, Chokedust, Stunmines and a concealed Wristbow have been added to Daud's potential arsenal.
- Further Explore Dunwall - Draper's Ward, Coldridge Prison, and Brigmore Manner are opening their doors to Daud.
- Choose Your Path - In typical Dishonored style, how you approach each mission is entirely up to the player.
- Persistent Playthrough - Retain all of your powers, weapons and item upgrades from The Knife of Dunwall, so long as you have a save.
Daud's a great antagonist when paired against Corvo from the original Dishonored and experiencing his side-story is nothing short of an outstanding experience. While the original Dishonored's narrative had its flaws, Arkane is really going out of its way to make sure Daud's story is both great on its own, and an improvement to the original game as well.
