Hey, do you like Halo? Too bad! Not only will Halo: Spartan Assault be exclusive to Windows 8 platforms, but now Microsoft has signed an initial exclusivity agreement with Verizon for the mobile version of the game. Not only will gamers have to own a Windows 8 phone, but they'll also have to have a Verizon contract! It's like telling your fan-base how little they really mean to you.
Don't despair though, folks, because you'll still be able to pick up Halo: Spartan Assault on your Windows 8 PC. Verizon doesn't make any claim to initial exclusivity in that area. Who knows, though, maybe Microsoft will partner with HP or Dell to help them profit off of their most loyal gaming fans trust. Don't act like you'd be so surprised!
Seriously though, this news is all sorts of rubbish. How many loyal, excited, trusting fans of Halo is Microsoft willing to ignore in the name of pushing their software? Business is business, I suppose, but in the long run all Microsoft is doing is hurting their brand.
Halo: Spartan Assault will be releasing soon on Windows 8 devices.
