Deep Silver and 4A Games' are just about to start their season of DLC for Metro: Last Light and we've got early details on each one. The focus is mostly on the first, naturally, which launches July 16 (July 17 in Europe) and includes three original single player missions. Each mission takes on a role from one of the three main warring factions in Last Light and offer "distinct gameplay challenges." The Faction Pack will run for $4.99.
As for the other three DLC packs included in Metro: Last Light's "Season Pass" they each take on a different sort of single player experience. Here's a list of what we know about each one, as provided by Deep Silver:
- "The 'Tower Pack' presents a unique experience for seasoned Metro gunslingers - a challenge based game mode, with online Leaderboard support, as players fight their way up the combat simulator known as The Tower"
- "The 'Developer Pack' boasts a fully stocked Shooting Gallery, the AI Arena and Metro Museum... And a bonus solo mission - The Spiders' Nest - offers some new tools for dealing with an infestation of the skittering Spider mutants"
- "Lastly the 'Chronicles Pack' will feature original single player missions that cast the player as three of the game's standout characters - Pavel, Khan and Anna - and explore their side-stories away from Artyom's adventure"
Each DLC pack will be be priced at $4.99, but of course if players pick up the "Season Pass" they'll get all four at 25% off, $14.99, in addition to unlocking the exclusive Azbats weapon.
Metro: Last Light is currently available across the board on current gen consoles and PC. Remember to pick up the Faction Pack if you're interested in revisiting some old Metro 2033 locations, or experiencing the game from the Redline, as a Polis Ranger or as a Reich "Heavy." What a great excuse to play more of this game.
