They beat out Skullgirls just to have Nintendo deny us the right to watch the stream.

I NEED TO SEE SOMEONE FALCON PUNCH SOMEONE LIVE AT EVO (and Brawl just can't satisfy my wants. It must either be Melee or Smash 64).

Fanbase raises money for the charity so that they could see their favorite "Fighting" game at evo.
Nintendo ends up removing that game from the stream. Hahaha Oh man, Nintendo how stupid are you.
Not to mention Melee ended up taking other games spot, iirc Melee barely beat Skullgirls. Skullgirls fanbase must be mad right now as well.

First youtube now EVO....wow, just wow.
Melee isn't new or anything either, its not like an EVO livestream would harm sales of a 2-generation old game.

Nintendo claims to be trying to do right by the hardcore fanbase but then they go and pull things like this. Way to reward your loyal fans for donating hundreds just to see your game represented there guys.

I honestly don't see how they (or anyone) could possibly have the authority to deny the streaming of something. It makes no sense.

Well, Skullgirls is hosting their own unofficial tournament at EVO anyways, it's just not one of the represented games. The prize is pretty sweet too (if you like Skullgirls); $1,700 and either you or a character of your design gets put into the background of one of the stages.

So the Skullgirls fanbase isn't really bothered by Nintendo's decision.

Did someone at Microsoft take a high-ranking job at Nintendo? They've been idiots lately.

There's being incompetent (Microsoft)
evil (EA)
stupid (Microsoft and square nix)
slow (valve)
then there's being Nintendo (Nintendo). Doing shit that makes no sense since the famicon.

Nintendo doesn't want Smash Bros to be a competitive fighting game but a party game. There's mechanics in there to prove it, eg: tripping.

They are soooooo out of touch with their fan base it's not even funny. Nintendo needs to get their shit together because PS4, and Xbox One are going to be coming out very soon. I'm pretty sure that nothing's going to change unless the upper management are removed. I'm not saying that they haven't done a good job, they're just out of touch with their consumers, and just gamers in general.

Just noticed bluexy added an update to say that it will be streamed. The Evo twitter account tweeted out a few minutes ago that they would be streaming it.

Nintendo must of not liked all the negative feedback on this.

I love how all of you hate Nintendo before the update was made.
