There's no big Halo release yet announced for 2013, but that won't stop Halo 4 from marching on with DLC releases. 343 Industries announced today via the Halo Waypoint the upcoming release of the "Champions Bundle." Packing up three smaller DLC packs, the Champions Bundle will include two new maps, a new gametype, some legendary armor and also a bunch of weapons skins, should that fit your fancy.
Each of the three types of content in the Champions Bundle will also be available individually, if you'd rather just pick up the maps or armor:
- Bullseye Pack (480 MSP): Two new multiplayer maps, a sports-themed Spartan armor and a new competitive gravball game type called Ricochet
- Infinity Armor Pack (240 MSP): Set your Spartan up with impressive and legendary new armor
- Steel Skin Pack (240 MSP): Bring an elaborate steampunk style to your UNSC, Covenant, and Forerunner weapons
If all you're interested in is the maps and gametype, then the Bullseye pack by itself should be a great pickup at a low price. Definitely beats $15 for four maps, that's for sure. If everything sounds great, the Champions Bundle itself will save a couple of dollars, for what it's worth.
Halo 4's Champions Bundle will be available starting August 20. Check out the trailer below for some of the new content in action, as well as the screenshots in the gallery for a closer look.
