Microsoft has just opened sign-ups for the 2013 Live Update, which will be coming to the Xbox 360 later this year. According to Major Nelson, this year's update will feature performance improvements as well as the much looked forward shift from Microsoft Points to standard regional currency. Log onto your Xbox 360 if you're interested in potentially giving the beta a try.
No further details are currently announced for the beta release and it's likely to stay that way until the beta's full launch later this year. Those who are accepted into the beta will have to sign an NDA, which says a lot in itself. If I was a betting man, I'd say Microsoft will be overhauling various aspects of Live to be more in line with the Xbox One experience. Makes the beta seem a bit more attractive now, eh?
Further details will be posted in a FAQ that will be up later today. Until then, what sort of changes do you want or expect in Microsoft's 2013 Live update for the Xbox 360?
