So much news, good or bad, comes to us from social media these days. The latest that might make PlayStation fans happy is from Sony Worldwide Studio president Shuhei Yoshida, who revealed via Twitter today that the Vita Remote Play feature might actually be totally functional on any Internet connection. That was, after all, a major issue with the PSP.
When someone asked Yoshida whether Remote Play would be usable "outside the home," Yoshida gave a nebulous answer that pretty much says "probably."
Better than a "no," right? Previously, Yoshida also announced via Twitter (again in response to a fan) that Remote Play would be available for all PS4 games minus any that require extra peripherals.
Sony really is pushing the Vita through PS4. Heck, when was the last time they used the Vita and its games to advertise itself? Good luck, anyway. The DS line could use a little proper competition. Now if only those Vita memory cards weren't clocking in at $80 and up.
