Hot new titles are shaking up the software sales charts across the pond in the UK, and they don't get hotter than Naughty Dog's The Last of Us for the PS3. Not only did the title score the biggest launch for a new IP on any platform in the PAL market since 2011's L.A. Noire, it's also the third fastest selling title of 2013 right behind 2K Games' BioShock Infinite and Square Enix's Tomb Raider reboot.
Nintendo's Animal Crossing: New Leaf for the 3DS similarly did not disappoint, landing second place in Chart-Track's software top ten for last week. New Leaf makes some milestones of its own in the UK, enjoying the best first-week sales for a non-Mario title on the 3DS platform. The strong UK debut should be great news for Nintendo, which is expecting New Leaf to be one of their most important first-party 3DS titles this year.
Rounding out the top five are GRID 2 (the top-seller for the week before), Tomb Raider and FIFA Soccer 13.
