Finally, being a Sony fanboy pays off. PS4 is looking gold. Can't wait to pick one up.

Well us Brits have to pay more than Americans as usual, but hey, it's cheaper than the PS3 was and looks freakin' awesome. Sony has created a masterpiece, reminiscent of the PS2 for how well-made and well-prepared it is, I'm just laughing at Microsoft struggling in the mud right now.

500gb hdd. Tsk. that's what I've had in my ps3 since 2007. Come on man we need a tb at least.

Honestly the design looks worse than the One. I hate this design, but other than that though the price is amazing the system itself, and what sony is doing is gold. I'm sure the slim version will look sexy anyway it always does. I just hate this design though man what was Sony thinking.

500gb would be more than enough for me, but I get I'm not exactly the biggest of gamers these days. Would bet that the end design allows for easy moving around of storage and such, since that would be a massive boon; especially in a day and age where that kind of thing is becoming increasingly popular and useful.

I'm guessing this 500gb is just for the 'base model'; they'll want you to pay extra for the bundle pack with the larger HDD and two games included.

500GB isn't exactly what I'd call large by any means, but I imagine it'd be plenty for the average gamer using their console primarily for games. Obviously anyone planning to use it as a media player too won't give 500GB a second though and I'm sure Sony knows this.

Even if Sony put a 1TB drive in there would still be people complaining its not enough.

I'm kinda leaning forward to this bundle atm. Still going to wait a bit until I take the bait.

500gb HDD keeps the price down. Seemed as if Sony learned their lesson from last generation. If the games roll out & PSN compares to Live favorably, Sony has my sale.

Im sure all of my PS3's have been 500MB and below and I have had no problems with space so not bothered with a higher MB PS4

But will it be interchangeable with modern HDDs? Vita's whole memory card thing was probably my least favorite Sony thing out there. If there is some way to purchase more space without having to drop hundreds of dollars alone on it, I'd be quite pleased. Though, I don't think I'll fill up 500 GB that quickly, myself.

I almost feel guilty at having to say that whilst I'm going to get a PS4, it probably won't be a day-one buy.

There is only one SKU, if you want a bigger HDD buy one and install it. This console is taking the PS3 approach in that if you want 4Tb you can remove the old drive and install a new one.
