Ugh, why? Unless someone was looking to purchase a new 360 with no intent on waiting or buying an Xbox One at all, why would anyone want to buy this thing? Seems to be nothing worth upgrading to if you already have a perfectly working Xbox Slim.

I'm with Mishtram, not a fan of the redesign -- of this or the Xbox One. When it comes to looks, the original Slim remains my favorite.

they really need to give some additional incentive if they want people like me who have the Slim to get this, which doesnt look really that much different. like i would consider the $199 one if it had say 8GB of flash memory instead of 4, as thats like having a built in USB flash drive (not sure why it doesnt, flash memory is so cheap these days), or if it had the tray-less disc drive like Xbone, Wii, PS3/4 and pretty much everything else has now.

curious how the internals are in terms of head buildup and the size of the CPU/GPU. although the Slim already does a good job in that department. i just think this thing needs to be something more than just a Slim with a new case which is exactly what it looks like.

For the record, Searle and Gonzales, I exist as one of those folks who has bought consoles late in the cycle, both for separate reasons; the first to replace a console that eventually wore down from use, and the second to get the exact deals that were mentioned in the first reply.

Still, I'm not really happy with the redesign of the Xbox 360. The One looks (ironically) like a freaking cable box, and I already have one of those. I don't want a second one.

quote Gonzales
Searle you'd be surprised, a decent amount of people buy consoles late in the cycle, to capitalise on the cheaper games available due to them being relatively old.
Exactly i would, if it werent for a 15% failure rate of the 360

At the exact same price as what they were before so there's ZERO incentive to pick one up.

This is probably the reason why the Xbox One doesn't have backwards compatibility.

would anyone really buy an xbox 360 at this time? I'll be interested to see the sales for this when it comes out
