Like they even need to announce it. Halo is coming to Xbox One in 2014. A brief teaser trailer was shown during Microsoft's E3 2013 keynote showing a man in a hood crossing a barren landscape. He looks at some dog tags in his hand. A giant robot bursts out of the ground. The man pulls his hood back and it's... Master Chief. That's really all there is to know right now.
No, there will be no Halo for launch, beyond perhaps the Halo television show or Halo: Spartan Assault for Windows; we'll all have to wait for 2014 to get here. All that was said is that Halo will take advantage of all of the Xbox One's features in exciting and wondrous ways and that it will run at a blistering 60FPS. We'll hold you to that, 343!
Stay tuned for Microsoft and Xbox One information throughout this week as E3 unfolds. Oh, and in case you were wondering, they only referred to the game as Halo... not Halo 5.
