If you've been curious to try Castlevania: Lords of Shadow but don't own a console, worry not. Konami announced today that they would be releasing the Castlevania action reboot to PC at long last, titled Castlevania: Lords of Shadow Ultimate Edition. Vindication!
What does Ultimate Edition entail? Not a whole lot more than the original, actually. It does bundle together the two add-ons, though: Resurrection and Reverie. Additional features include some enhanced visuals -- full 1080p HD graphics -- and solid 60 fps on recommended specs, plus trophy integration on Steam and Cloud saving.
Everything else is pretty much what the console versions already have. A detailed product page already popped up on Steam recently, boasting a release date of August 27.
Pretty good move on Konami's part, given that PC does actually matter as a platform. I can only imagine Namco and FromSoftware's PC release of Dark Souls (even if the port was pretty rough) had something to do with it. Both games are due for sequels, so that really adds to the good timing.
