Ubisoft's getting amped for E3 just like the rest of us. The publisher announced their line-up for the show today, which includes almost a half dozen games as well as some now promised next-gen announcements. They've also confirmed that last year's E3 press conference host Aisha Tyler will be back this year. Well, at least the show will be quite lively.
Yves Guillemot, co-founder and CEO of Ubisoft, provided the following statement:
"This is a pivotal moment for the video game industry, and E3 is the opportunity for us to share our vision for the future. We have many incredible games in development, and we’re especially excited to share more on our next-gen titles, which will deliver more connected, immersive and interactive experiences to our fans."
Of course, Yves isn't kidding, as Ubisoft has seemingly come out front and center in support of next-gen consoles already. Their line-up includes two confirmed next-gen titles already, and we wouldn't be surprised to see any of their other titles have ports that make the jump as well. Add in multiple unannounced products? Ubisoft could take the crown as best next-gen lineup for next-gen. They certainly have it right now prior to E3.
Here's Ubisoft's line-up of titles they'll be bringing to E3:
- Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag
- Rayman Legends
- South Park: The Stick of Truth
- Splinter Cell: Blacklist
- Watch Dogs
- ... "more next-gen titles to be announced during E3"
What does Ubisoft have in store for us? Well, there's the Prince of Persia-style game Anubis that's been rumored. Ubisoft Reflections is said to be working on a racing title named The Crew. What else might they have up their sleeve? Well, according to Ubisoft themselves, beyond AC4 and Watch Dogs, they've got 6 as-yet-unannounced titles for the Xbox One in development. Oof, E3 is going to be so good this year.
Tune into Ubisoft's E3 press conference Monday, June 10 at 3PM PT.
