Update: Four more games have been added to the Humble Indie Bundle 8, along with each of their soundtracks. If you beat the average price, which now sits at $5.64, Tiny & Big in Grandpa's Leftovers, Intrusion 2, English Country Tune, and Oil Rush. Check out the bundle on the Humble Bundle website.
It's here, it's here! Humble Indie Bundle 8 has been launched, now with seven epic indie games at pay-what-you-want prices (two behind a beat-the-average price gate). As usual, each game is DRM free and cross platform between PC, Mac and Linux. Add in that you can split your donation between the developers, the Humble Bundle guys, and charities like Child's Play and the EFF? Insta-buy.
Here's the list of seven games included in the Humble Indie Bundle 8, but keep in mine they typically add more later:
- Little Inferno
- Awesomenauts (plus exclusive chicken skin)
- Thomas Was Alone
- Dear Esther
- Hotline Miami (beat the average)
- Proteus (beat the average)
I can personally attest to the fact that all of these games are incredible. Hotline Miami was one of my top games from last year! While none of the titles really has the popularity of say Braid, Super Meat Boy or even Bastion, they're all quality titles with their own respective fan-bases. That's a rare occurrence in the Humble Bundle, which typically likes to fit in a few titles that they'd like to give a bit of free advertising to.
Check out the Humble Bundle page right now where the average bundle price is sitting at $5.73. Seven games for less than $7? Win. So much win. Humble Bundle 7 raked in over $2.5 million, let's see what Humble Bundle 8 can muster.
