I KNOW I'm not the only one...But does anyone else miss the feel of Saint's Row 2? Goofy over the top fun with a somewhat serious main character and decent storyline with enjoyable mini games. Saint's Row 2 is still one of my top 5 games of the last "console" generation. Saint's Row the Third is the first(and so far only) game I've returned and traded it in for Just Cause 2(Another over the top gameplay wise game with decent storyline and huge world to explore/enjoy). So, it kindof goes without saying that I have no interest in this one and might get it from a Steam Sale or a Humble Bundle(Which is how I repurchased The Third, playing through it knowing the story is/was bollocks made it more fun because I wasn't constantly going He isn't dead, He can't be dead. Not that character, he's been here since the beginning and has proven himself a Bad Mother *bleep*er(Pardon my language and enjoy the reference.).

Ninmecu, You're not alone in that thought. I'd love this series to go back to either the Saints Row 1 or 2 style where it was just the right level of crazy and the right level of serious. I still remember loading up Saints Row 1 for the first time and thinking it was one of the best open world games I'd ever played, the story was pretty serious at times but it was the activities that injected a bit of insanity. Saints Row 2 did similar but Saints Row 3 and now 4 seem to have made the story an extension of those insane activities which doesn't work, it's too crazy too often. I think these games require balance and recent Saints Row has none of that.

Ninmecu BlackLabel I agree, SR1 and SR2 were great games. They were fun, and had decent storylines and serious characters. I loved SR3, but it just wasn't as good as the first two :/

the SR games have degraded to a slush of semi random wheel. SR 1 and 2 were amazing for that serious insanity but SR 3 seems to be a jumble of drunk or high ideas thrown into a game. though it was entertaining for at least 30 hours a bit more if you don't play too often. SR 4 is well different it might be entertaining to see how it does and plays with the superpowers but other than that it still isn't serious anymore which is probably why THQ went bankrupt not SR by itself i mean a lot of the games are doing pretty bad, i'll just miss the games that THQ never got to make unless another company actually publishes a new one like Deep Silver and SR 4
