Aye fair enough I can see that happening, but I thought the point of bundling the Move was because of the integration of Move with the controller. So would they sell a controller without the big ass blue light too?

There is known that there will be a separate Xbox model, what it has is not known though.

K well I'm not buying this then. Complete bullshit. Maybe when I have like $1000 just laying around I will.

What the *bleep* are we gonna call the first Xbox then? The... first Xbox? I thought Wii U was a bad name, but congrats Nintendo, you just got bested.

I'm not gonna sit here and say I'm not buying this as there's no way I know how I'm gonna feel once it actually comes out. Damn sure I won't buy this on release date like these idiots out there who did it with the PS3/360. Console box full of bugs, glitches all so they can have bragging rights. Insane.

Xbox One doesn't look all that great tbh.
I think I'm gonna go with Sony this gen. I dont like kinect/motion controls so the touchpad on the PS4 seem more core-gamer friendly to me.

Definitely no reason to buy on day 1 anyway, as with any console. I don't see a reason to not stick with a 360 for as long as they support it.

Overall I think this is a step in the right direction. Gamers nostalgic for older Xbox games will get some kind of emulator service after launch maybe some cloud app on the system that allows "old school" play as it were.

Yeah it sucks not to be able to just pop in a disc you paid 60 bucks for, but this is about moving forward and the as the specs are laid out in this article, it's a great leap forward in a total entertainment experience, not just gaming.

I got one very important question: does your gamerscore from the 360 carry over to this Xbox One? I want to show everyone online that I'm beating games.

To be honest, I'm not as concerned over "not being able to play used games" as I was. I've bought plenty of virtual games that I can't resell. Not being able to buy used games and then play them without paying extra would just mean that I'll have to be a little more cautious about buying games and only buy games that either have been out for a while or end up in a bargain bin for like $5-10. If I do buy any new none-handheld console I'll be looking at rebuying a 360 anyways, with the library it has built up. There's enough 360 games to keep me busy until this Xbox One either crashes and burns or gets pretty cheap.

I'm just wondering how retailers will deal with this, especially used game retailers. Hopefully this is a nail in GameStop's casket.

I still don't see what's to riot about not having backwards compatibility. Not counting handhelds backwards compatibility is pretty new. I'm not too savvy in Sega's consoles since the most recent one I owned was a Genesis, but Sony had backwards compatibility with the PS2, 360 with Xbox, and still not counting the handhelds, Nintendo didn't have backwards compatibility until the Wii. Couldn't play NES games in my SNES so I kept the NES around, N64 comes around and it can't play SNES or NES games, and the Gamecube was disc based so it couldn't play any sort of cartridge.

There is no way the Xbox One will be able to compete with the PS4, I was hoping that Microsoft would bring something decent to the table.

am i the only one who doesn't mind the name 'xbox one'? i mean they were pretty stuck with ideas on what to call it. i find with sony the fact they are now calling it the playstation 4, it just sounds old. it feels like microsoft are starting fresh with the xbox one.

I don't mind it either, really.

The console was just announced. Not much information out there, and even more misinformation. Stands to reason the hate train would be going at full force right now. Console wars, man. Nobody wins except the companies.

people received the PS4 conference better cause they actually showed some games rather than more annoying Kinect crap and TV functionality that almost nobody asked for. kinda dumb on their part for waiting till E3 to show off some games but its only a couple weeks away if im not mistaken.

anyway i do want to see a literal hands on of the new controller and get responses after lots of people have held it, because of how its more angled it doesnt look as ergonomic as 360's to me. but that battery is finally an internal rechargeable like PS3's.

there's other nifty things they havent shown off yet too. hopefully they'll show off more about the Glass connectivity where you can use other devices like phone screens to connect to the console during certain games to be used for things like minimaps or inventory. you know the kinds of things the Wii U's proprietary controller does.

Wow, just when I thought things couldn't go any worse, they don't allow backwards compatibility. I would have loved pulling out some older games to see how they run on the Xbox One, but what do you know, can't do that. Another reason I won't get this console.
