Though I have heard Sony is trying to use a type of cloud system to implement backwards compatibility into their new system.
Huh? You mean like playing games from a separate console streamed to your console? What do you mean "Cloud System".
I think what Xemas12 is talking about is gaikai and i'm pretty sure i hard Sony talking about it.
Yes that's what it is, I can never remember the name.

The problem is actually the countries themselves (for limitations/restrictions) and the company itself if the service is merely "lazy".
Seems to be the problem with many things, not just the Xbox. But yeah, a company's unwillingness to trade internationally is only a hurt to their side.

Yeah... I know... I just wanted to rant. I have mixed feelings about CRTC. They helped us get fair pricing on bandwidth in the North, but also restrict us in many other ways.

The problem is actually the countries themselves (for limitations/restrictions) and the company itself if the service is merely "lazy". It's not the US's fault. In Canada the CRTC screws us out of a lot of good stuff. We pirate a lot of stuff though, and can change our DNS server to get American Netflix, so it doesn't matter too much.

I'm also pretty tired of these American companies restricting services in other countries, especially Canada, which is so culturally similar to the US, logistically, politically, culturally, and economically, there is no reason for so many restrictions put on Canada.

I'm going to list just a few services that are restricted in Canada from the top of my head only.

Spotify
Hulu
Netflix
Google Voice
Google Wallet
Skype-in numbers
Pandora
No YouTube movies
DirecTV
Cartoon Network

Lots of stuff...

What do we have? Poutine? Ketchup chips? Throw us a bone ffs.

Same here, but weve already seen the 360 move heavily towards casual gaming with so many crappy kinect games, and all those extra services i keep hearing about, witch dont work at all in my country, and i doubt they will on the new one
But they favoured casual over hardcore gamers already, and they shouldve gotten back to the hardcore gamers, but they didnt, and theyll pay heavily for that

I just cant stop bitching about it

And sucks about your PS3

That's not sad. Sony had a very upbeat conference that dismissed fears about the console. MS's conference only heightened and confirmed those fears.
That was mostly because I have been an Xbox Junkie since 2005. (Although I did own a PS3 at some point before it got stolen)

Ah ok, thank you. A cloud idea would fit pretty well since I saw someone there saying there's no PS3 discs or digital games, but I could only see that it'd put more of a burden on their servers.

It's weird, though, after this current gen of gaming consoles to think that Sony will start out the gate with the upper hand. Well at least it looks that way. Too bad for Microsoft, too, as I was considering this over the next Sony console but... I like games more than TV and Call of Duty.

Did you hear something like the Apple cloud, or? I'd like to read about that, so if you have a link could you post it?
