The FOV never bothered me, but I suppose the option is nice. I can't speak for AMD users, but running on a GTX 680 maxed (minus some texture filtering) the game looks beautiful, and runs consistently at 60 FPS. It's actually pretty funny how well I can run this one, compared to the bogged down, shoddy performance I get from 2033.

thats strange...2033 ran brilliant on my pc but cant handle last light...im not going to play last light anymore until i upgrade my pc...cause both these games deserve to be played at 60fps.

Maybe its because last light is faster in dx11 mode when compared to dx9 by about 15%.

I can't believe people were whining about a 70 FOV in this game. Metro 2033 came with a stock of ****45**** FORTY FIVE DEGREES!
If you put it beyond 55 then graphical glitches with the player model began. Yeah, and people whined this time around. Pretty damned ridiculous.

These have just been patched, along with the addition of an attribute that you can tweak to adjust the Field of View...

The patch fixes a shadow visual corruption on AMD 7000 series graphics cards, and also fixes an issue with incorrect resolutions when playing on some TV's.

The patch is live on the steam version of the game, and players are advised to restart the game and verify the files if it doesn't download automatically.

What kind of a card are you running? Games these days seem to really favor either NVIDIA or AMD, and few run equally good on both brands. I was running a Radeon 6850 when I first played 2033 on PC, and the performance boost I'm getting from my GTX 680 and substantial CPU upgrade is surprisingly minimal. Yet I can play Crysis 2 in 3D just fine... strange how these things work.
