Hot off the internets, we've got the latest Batman: Arkham Origins teaser trailer for fans to drool over. Odds are this is a teaser for an extended trailer coming up during another event, say the Xbox reveal or more likely E3, but for now all we get is a small taste. It's quite the taste, however, as this Arkham Asylum/Arkham City prequel is cutting no corners. Literally. Deathstroke's sword isn't cutting anything but air in this trailer. Oh, I just noticed the end of the trailer said expect the full trailer May 20 on Facebook. Time for some coffee.
Good to see a younger, more naive Batman has still got the moves. However, while the action is focused on Deathstroke and Batman's dance, I couldn't help but zero in on the freezing cold weather. Is Mr. Freeze up to his old shenanigans? Odds are not, after all Gotham can have natural cold weather like anywhere else, but this is a video game teaser. We have to speculate a little. Or more than a little.
Batman: Arkham Origins is planned for release on October 25 for the PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii U. It may be a prequel and it may be developed by Warner Bros. Games Montreal instead of Rocksteady, but with a cast including Deathstroke, Alberto Falcone and Black Mask? We ain't seen nothin' yet.
