Pokemon X and Y were featured in the latest issue of CoroCoro magazine, fresh off the print, and what do you know several Pokemon have now been revealed. In addition to that, the first details on Pokemon X and Y's trainer customization system have been unveiled, allowing players to choose their hair color and skin shade. We're all here for the Pokemon, of course, so let's get down to it and talk about these adorable little buggers.
Four Pokemon are featured on the two-page feature, and while a lot of details are still in the process of translation here's what we know so far:
- Gogoat (1.7m, 91.0kg) - Grass-type Pokemon which will also be the Riding Pokemon of Pokemon X and Y. According to the article Gogoat will be ridable in the field, as well as in the main city named Miare City. Able to learn Horn Leech.
- Elikiteru (0.5m, 1.7kg) - Electric/Normal-type Pokemon which has a brand new move named Parabola Charge, healing itself while damaging its opponent. Elikiteru is a lizard that harnesses solar rays to power its electricity.
- Yayakoma (0.3m, 1.7kg) - This bird Pokemon is based off of the Japanese Robin. It's Normal/Flying-type and is known to have a beautiful singing voice. Can use the ability Flame Charge.
- Yancham (0.6m, 8.0kg) - Apparently Yancham is referred to as the "Naughty Pokemon". This panda is Fighting-type and also has a brand new move named Parting Remark, though the details on this move are unclear.
Oho! Apparently some additional details on the game's main region have also been revealed. Set in the Karos Region, which is said to be based on France, the player will visit the main city of Miare City where they can ride their Gogoat freely. A portion of the region map is also shown, but you'll have to go to the source to get more details on that. The image we have is rather unclear.
Add Gogoat, Elikiteru, Yayakoma and Yancham to our growing stable of Pokemon for Pokemon X and Y. It's worth noting that CoroCoro magazine is Japanese and thus all names and details are for the Japanese versions of Pokemon X and Y, that is, they're likely to change when localized in English. Any Pokemon in particular that might fit into your party?
Pokemon X and Y are coming to the 3DS in October later this year.
Make sure to check out the always heated and ongoing discussion in our Pokemon X and Y community. II hope they don't burn me alive for being a few hours late posting this news to the front page. It's the weekend, everyone! I'm sorry!
