I remember playing GT on my PS2 back in 2003 or something, I loved it because of how amazing the graphics looked (The cars looked so real!). I can't wait to see how it looks on the PS4!

So are these games always on Playstation systems? I haven't really been following it since last playing one on the PS2.

Yeah they are Playstation exclusive, although there were a lot of rumours of PC port of GT5 because Polyphony saw a lot of potential with the limitless boundaries of PC.

My guess is they didn't want Gran Turismo to overshadow Drive Club, otherwise they could have just released it cross-platform with the PS4 version maybe being the definitive version if the initially small install base was an issue.

I understand they want to keep supporting the PS3 but it seems really odd to me not to release your big franchises on the new console, although at the same time I'd rather see Drive Club at launch followed by Gran Turismo 7 than two Gran Turismos. Sony might be thinking the same thing here.

0% of that happening. Polyphone is a first party company.

GT5 looked brilliant on the ps3 but to make GT6 on the same console should be questioned when the ps4 is imminent. also the ACTUAL driving in drive club didnt look all that impressive...they seem to be focusing more on the social aspect rather than the gameplay aspect...and this seems to be the new way of making games nowadays...more laggy multiplayer and less single player.

Gran Turismo 6 won't be coming out until 2018!! 100% sure. Gran Turisomo 5.5 is sometime in 2015!

I'm actually in favor of not having GT6 for the PS4. If you pay attention there have been two games for each console (if I remember correctly). Also, from what I understand trying to take the existing work PD has done for GT6 and placing it on the PS4 is damn near impossible.

I'm also not willing to drop a solid $1000 on a PS4. Won't happen. I'll switch to my PC before I do that.

PS4 won't be that expensive when it comes out. They'll not make that mistake again with the ridiculously high pricing of the PS3 when it was released. I've heard rumors it'll be around £300, which I think is around $500.

It would make sense for them to release one more game on the PS3, they spent all that time building a new engine for it and it would seem like a waste to only build one full game on it. That said is there really any point in releasing a game on a console that's on it's way out? Especially when it takes them so long to make a game. It might also make sense to bring it out shortly after the PS4 comes out, it would allow for much better graphics and physics and it would also be likely to boost PS4 sales.

I probably won't upgrade to the PS4 for a while so having GT6 on the PS3 would be a good idea. Not everyone will be buying the PS4 either. Most people may switch to PC gaming. Hopefully we get more premium cars.

If they've worked on GT6 since they got GT5 out the door, it wo(uld)n't be a surprise that it'll come to the PS3. They have the engine to build up from, so it has been, and is, a matter of building up from that.

My hopes for GT6 are that the menu loading times would be shorter, or instant. And really, I think the animations in gt auto should be optional. It's cool to watch the guys in yellow shirts work on the cars a few times, but to HAVE to watch it over and over for a thousand time... With the loading times, it takes, what, 2-3 minutes to get a car done in gt auto... So, that's 2000-3000 minutes if you get every car done in there.
