Why does everyone seem to think that this = the entire mobile gaming collection is comming to wii-u?
Because Nintendo is a huge company and if they do something they don't like they will spring right on them and down their throats, even if it is just a rumour, specified by the title. This happens with every game company. See:EA

I feel like Nintendo has moved too much toward the baby, hippies, and women crowd with their childish little system.

I feel like Nintendo has moved too much toward the baby, hippies, and women crowd with their childish little system. I would love to see nintendo actually try to appeal to an older audience for once, then they wouldn't have to do what we're discussing here. Tisk tisk, I won't be buying a Nintendo console any time soon (Mario Kart WiiU might convince me though ).

Just wait until the e-shop is completely filled up with shovelware mobile games, where every game has some sort of micro transaction "pay to win". It gets messy very fast and doesn't bode too well for the console imo. The home console and mobile gaming are two completely different things and mixing them together doesn't bode well imo.
YOU KNOW WHY THERE ARE A BUNCH OF CRAPPY GAMES ON MOBILE PLATFORMS?
Because (almost)EVERYONE has a smartphone. You know what everyone DOESNT have? A Wii-U. If I were a game developer who wanted to make a casual game, would I make it for smartphones, where microtransactions , pay to wins, and casual games frolic, where I can make way more money than I ever could DREAM of being on a home console. It isn't just as simple as putting a game out on a home console as it is to put a game out on a smartphone.

I was considering getting an Ouya. Looks like I won't have to anymore ^^
Goodluck with that, remember that developers have to port the games first, they won't just be cross-compatible. Not to mention the obvious price differences.

Do you actually have a smart phone, ims2golfer? I've used both the iOS, and Android store and finding anything "quality" is very hard. All the games are meant for a different target audience. It's not a "sit at home and play this on a TV". They're games that you just pick up, play, and can set down 10 minutes later.

This seems like a step in the wrong direction. I don't want crappy mobile games on a gaming console :\ 90% of mobile games are shovel ware anyways. You either get in game ads, or micro transactions.

Oh god Nintendo, stop. Stop making bad decisions!
YES. HOW DARE THEY MAKE THEIR SYSTEM MORE OPEN AND AN EASIER TO DEVELOP FOR . THE LESS DEVELOPERS MAKING GAMES FOR THE WII U THE BETTER.
