sucks that it's not been announced for the consoles too but the instant redeeming quality is that you don't have to online to play it, it seems EA are listening this time

It'll probably be ported to next-gen consoles. 360 and PS3 can barely run Sims 3.

Seriously? PS2 did run well The Sims 1 but The Sims 2 is an bad adaptation for PS2. Although I expect EA to introduce Perks to The Sims 4,Perks were awesome and only showed up in The Sims 2 for PSP.
And Sanity,it was pretty cool. The Debt,Nausea, and Headache moods,as it only showed up in The Sims 2 for PSP I personaly think that The Sims 2 for PSP is way better than the PS2 version, also,it has a true story, not a want-based story . Also,i forgot, why it´s forbidden to talk about emulators? Didn´t know why. I hope Will Wright will come back to The Sims franchise, and Maxis needs to go back too. EA is just taking our precious money.....Why Will Wright, why don´t you comeback does it takes to do this in front of you Will Wright:

I better pack my EP´s in a and sell them, the EP are of The Sims 1

Looks nice, but why do I feel like it looks more cartoon-y than usual? Or have I just not played Sims for a long time?

Looks like from now on EA is going to have to be that company that states their games are offline or online and WORKING before actually showing off the game lol.

I'm very wary about an even more cartoony look, why couldn't it expand on TS2 art style?

EDIT: I should state that I am a Sims fanboy and will be buying this game and am already pre-ordering the season pass (TS4: Pets, TS4:Seasons, TS4:something something something Jacuzzi, TS4:Supernatural) and pre-preordering season pass 2 (TS4:Ambitions, TS4:University, TS4:Nightlife, TS4:...what where those TS2 expansions I'm missing?) and am going to put an extra $200 for the day 1 content on the store and neighboorhoods. This is gonna be great!

I'm excited for TS4 as much as the next Simmer but that hair is seriously bugging me. It reminds me of hair from MySims. Perhaps they are going for the whole "painterly" look of Sims: Medieval.

I'm hoping that TS4 is focused on content that we already love and improving on it. More jobs, bigger cities, better personalities, more sims in a city, more experiences, more building options, etc. I'd be pretty disappointed if it's loaded with bloated social content.

Hi all, first time posting on here n terms of the whole Sims franchise, owned every expansion of 1 and 2, bought 3 but had issues with work and then computers so couldn't play, feel slightly left behind in the whole game at the minute.

But as Fragment Of Chaos pointed out, what we want is more jobs, bigger cities and so on. After all it's not like the pcs and laptops of today would struggle with the demands the game may pose, that infact some of the things holding it back though! EA should provide the game to the best of their ability, then if it takes 4 years to get to TS5 then so be it. It works for GTA, Gran Turismo, Zelda and so on, so why not here?
