Does this mean EA considers The Sims 3 + expansions to be a final product?

That didn't cross my mind when I first read this article, but now I'm freaking worried.

MAY AS WELL KILL OFF THE SIMS AND THE CITY WHILE YOU'RE AT IT.

Well.... bluexy you might as well save some time and start righting up the article of the Sims 4 not working and their expansion packs (Seasons, Pets...everything else including more expansions since the base game will now offer less) not working as well.

After how they took 1 step forward 18 steps back with the Sims 3 I have absolutely negative faith in this. Hell I'm going to nominate this thing a Golden Mountain Dew to save some time and energy.

ib4 SimCity 5 and Sims 4 integration. They've done it before and I can see them doing it again =/

Well since everyone else already covered the low hopes for the game part, I have to say that EA's idea of "Let's hold a big event and invite the fansites instead of the big press" is absolutely fantastic.

Legitimately the first thing I've ever seen from EA and gone "Well that's pretty cool I guess".

That dick of a CEO is gone and Peter Moore's words are becoming more and more truer. EA are turning over a new leaf.

Exactly what has the new CEO done to an entire company that for years has been spiraling out of control in the 2 months he's been in charge to get a comment for turning over a new leaf? If I recall EA was just hit with massive layoffs like everyone else.

The announcement is very similar if not pretty much the same as Nintendo Directs and is something more companies should be doing (especially since they are all steering away from big conventions nowadays).

I'm talking about that guy who resigned. The one who was CEO from 2007. A year before the stock market crash.

Who's the new CEO?

They don't have a CEO, hence the layoffs. As far as I'm aware, Peter Moore is probably acting as a temporary CEO until they find one.

I don't know that it's any big deal, I mean they are giving them all of a 3 hour headstart over big gaming rags and they know it means ultimately nothing until the big gaming rags pick up on the story themselves for mass audience.

It's simply EA trying to appease the fan sites and people in general will think it's cool that they did it, but 3 hour head start ultimately doesn't mean anything at the end of the day.

Peter Moore is just a temp until they can find someone new. But nothing has really changed (as it should since the resignation was only just a month and a half ago. Literally no time for a company to make any sort of change. Way too early to say EA is turning a new leaf and I honestly doubt it will.
