And I bet I'll like playing as blade wolf more then raiden in his own game, just like the sam DLC.
Raiden was crazy fun, until I played sam's DLC, so it's not like I disliked Raiden's combat until recently.

Should have given it for free.
This game campaign mode lasted 4 hours long(without cutscenes or so I've read)
$60 for 4 hours and not to mention they have the nerve charge extra money for DLC hahaha
No wonder Platinum games never sell well, I think MGR was the only one who sold decently and that was just because it had MetalGear in the name.

Agreed, I have about 12 hours (counting finished sam dlc and game campaign, +misc.) of gameplay and the game is not worth 60$
It's a lot of fun but I should have waited to buy it and now my wallet has paid the price :/

This game will last longer if you play in a hard mode or beyond..I finished it around 10 hours or so! (Including sightseeing of some Japanese girls poster!).

Overall rating: 7.3 out of 10. It's just NOT good enough for me to collect, so I sold it

Yeah, I completely agree with Slash. I wanted the Sam DLC but I'm not prepared to pay £7.99 for some DLC when I only paid £35 for the whole game which finished at just over 4.5 hours. Anyway, point is as much as I'd like to, I won't be getting this DLC either.

Metal Gear games are pretty much always short on gameplay, so I'm actually not too disappointed with MGR's length. Plus, there are side missions, unlockables, VR missions, collectibles, rankings, and loads of Codec conversations that I always find fascinating. So unless you're just doing the bare minimum and blowing through it, the game's pretty decent length in my opinion, or at least I think it's fair to say that there's a decent amount of content when looking at the game as a whole.

I also tried to be stealthy when I could, which really added much more challenge and (as a result) a bit more length to the game as well.

I think the game has massive replay value too, but that's mostly based on my personal preference. It probably doesn't have much "actual" replay value a la a Mass Effect or Elder Scrolls game.

I really like Raiden, but I'm also hoping we get a Gray Fox game as well. Perhaps it could be titled "Metal Gear Falling" and chronicle the fall of Frank Jeager or something like that?

It has potential to be a really deep game, spanning the course of a few decades if done correctly and showing Frank's days as a normal soldier and his days as a Cyborg descending into madness.

Also, early in MGR's development, I was really hoping it would have some standard MGS gameplay mixed in with hack-n-slash. Like, similarly to MGS2's Tanker/Plant Chapter format, I'd hoped we'd play as normal Raiden for a stealth mission of some sort and lead into the real meat of the game as Ninja Raiden. Hopefully a Frank Jeager game would do something like that.

Also, sequel to MGR or a game based on The Boss, Ocelot, Liquid Snake, or really any of the numerous interesting characters in the Metal Gear universe wouldn't hurt either... I'm not being too demanding, am I?
