Oh, man... I'm loving these trailers.

It's interesting how, in GTA, there's always a moment where your friends/allies betray you and in this next installment we're playing as three friends/allies. I wonder if a moment will come in the game where we have to pick a character and betray the other two, or ally with one a betray the other or something like that.

Interesting trailers. I guess I am still hoping that Rockstar is going to dial the realism down a lot, but judging by what looks like short snippets of actual gameplay, I think that this game is going to add some unrealistic elements, but the "action" like driving, shooting, and character movements kind of looks very "GTA IV'ish" to me. I think this game is going to be amazing even if I don't personally like it. I can definitely see where there are going to be great improvements in the things many of the fans were complaining about, and at the same time, all the people who loved the direction of IV are going to be very happy, I think.

I actually would love to see some gameplay trailers. So far it seems (at least to my eyes) like all the trailers so far are mostly storyline and cut scenes.

Today's 3 new trailers are stunning. 3 completely different characters which satisfies everyone's hunger: the hood, the mobster, the psycho. It's bringing back the ridiculousness but weaving it sensibly into the ultra-real GTAIV world. I love watching the missions and thinking "I can choose which one out of them to play" or "I wonder what the other characters are doing".

Now give us a 10 minute gameplay video

Maybe they were all betrayed by other people already and that's what's pushed these 3 characters towards each other?

The last few seconds of Franklin's trailer with him walking towards the door looked like gameplay to me IMO...

Pretty good videos, shows a fair amount of content that will be available in the game.

Personally though, I think Michael's voice really doesn't match his body. He sounds about 2 sizes smaller than he looks >_>

Drogo Baggins - Interesting idea you have there. Would make for more replayability too, which is a bonus.

I am eager to find out how this 3-character transition is going to work.

Franklin's clip definitely looked like he was a member of the GSF. Same colors and everything, and they killed a guy in purple. Perhaps we'll be seeing a return of the Grove Street Families and the Ballas?

Gregm, one of the many things I missed from old GTA games in IV was references to neighborhoods, structures, and characters that were in previous titles. I get what Rockstar was trying to do, with a sort of reboot of the series, but I never agreed with that. I will say that it would go a long way toward making me feel "connected" to these games if they created a world that, in many ways, referenced and weaved in with the previous titles, San Andreas in particular. lol NOT that I matter the slightest bit to Rockstar, but with Los Santos, I would love to see some of those old neighborhoods, either re-rendered with the new graphics or rendered entirely differently. But it would be really awesome if people who played San Andreas a lot would be able to find their way around the coming Los Santos, to some extent, by memory. Would love to see Ganton, Eidlewood, Vinewood, and many of the suburban areas again.

I have the feeling this is a pipe-dream because I really think Rockstar means to make this a reboot of the state of San Andreas, or at least Los Santos + all the suburban areas, as well.

My main gripe with 4 was that they sucked out all the humor, they sucked the life out of GTA but it looks like they've brought the humor and life back into the series. Can't wait for it.
