With the IP they have, only their incompetent top management is to blame for EA failing to meet sales goals. They prove over and over again they have no clue why the gaming community hates them. The letter one of their execs wrote in response to EA being voted worst company in America was quite illuminating in that regard. Clueless, absolutely clueless. Shareholders should be rioting. It isn't enough that the CEO resigned, it is clear that this willfull blindness has been institutionalized at EA HQ. Sack them all.

Dunno if sacking all the suits who work for EA would be the best fix, but I can totally agree with the sentiment behind it. Developers work hard, I'm glad they do and can be proud of their products. Company direction, DRM choices, publishing in general, that's something EA's dropped the ball on completely and have only ham-handedly acknowledged it, really more dodging the accusations rather than admitting true fault. I hope the recent shifts in their structure are for the best, so we can get back to EA being the company we used to like, or at least not hate. But who knows.

I'm actually with him. EA wasn't the worst company in America. The poll had a skewed pool.

Don't get me wrong crunch time isn't the best tactic. But they didn't write the script to ME3 or DA2.

They do want self preservation and include an "online" element, but Sony, Activision (which is waaaaaay more evil to me), and Ubisoft have on-line passes, too.
2 thumbs!

I pray that those who got the axe can now find better companies who can appreciate their talents.
