Born Ready Games is following up the release of Strike Suit Zero earlier this year with a $6.99 standalone "wave-based score-chaser" named Strike Suit Infinity. Infinity will boil Zero down to its core combat mechanics, placing players into a competitive wave-based challenge structure where they'll compete for leaderboard placement. Naturally, style and speed are as important as survival
Here's a quick summary of gameplay in Strike Suit Infinity, as described by Born Ready Games:
"... players fight to stay alive as long as possible against a never-ending armada of enemies, with the intention of surviving each round and climbing as high up the leaderboards as possible. Each round is comprised of numerous waves of enemies, which get progressively harder. In order to reach the top of the leaderboard, players will need to successfully chain their scoring to increase their score multiplier."
In addition, players will be able to purchase an assortment of reinforcements to support them during the upcoming rounds with credits earned in prior rounds. As such, climbing the leaderboards will be as much of an act of strategy and tactic as it is twitch reaction times and experience with combat.
Strike Suit Infinity will be coming to PC as a standalone title on Steam April 30, for just $6.99. In addition, Born Ready Games mentioned they'll have more news on Strike Suit Zero's upcoming "Heroes of the Fleet" mission pack soon.
