We're, well, I suppose we're getting closer to Grand Theft Auto V's release date. September 17 is still a ways away however. Nonetheless, it appears Rockstar is getting all its ducks in a row. Today images leaked from the set where a live-action commercial for GTA5 is being filmed. Really the only thing I notice in the images that ties the photos to GTA is a big poster. Otherwise... no idea what's going on here.
The shots all take place mid-city and there are a couple with a police car and another car wrecked into a light post. Okay, so we're seeing some typical GTA related action. The rest, however, are a bit more... confusing. They seem to focus on a car bursting out of a jungle landscape, which is itself bursting out of the side of a building. Why is their jungle in this building? Why is a car driving out of this jungle?
It behooves me to wonder whether this is some sort of revelatory information, or simply some Rockstar zaniness for their commercial. Does the jungle actually have anything to do with Grand Theft Auto V? Will we be seeing a bit of Far Cry 3 inspiration in the sequel? It may be a while before we find out. Grand Theft Auto V launches on September 17 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
