I order everything online anyway, I'm just glad I don't have to import it.

Wow, man...this is big, I'd try it if it has arrived to retail in Australia at some points. I mean some third parties/folks will do it anyhow.

I sincerely hope that this isn't going to be necessary to play games. If it had come built into the XL, and the XL had a later release and higher price, I may have considered it. I simply don't wish to add something this bulky and bad looking to my sleek DS.

Nintendo's acting almost like an indecisive child: They want people to purchase the XL more than the normal 3DS, but they make seemingly necessary additions like this harder to get and uglier.

Most games aren't going to use this. Having the bulk of an extra stick and two extra buttons as optional keeps the system portable when it needs to be while retaining options for games that need the extra inputs.

XXIV Ahh right, thanks for clearing that up

Strange that it's been delayed from getting to NA for so long though.

quote cspengler5170
why would anyone need this
because it makes monster hunter tri, metal gear snake eater, and resident evil revelations that much better to control.

its not "needed", but it sure makes those games more enjoyable.
