Say what you will about Steam's Greenlight service, no one's arguing it doesn't have its flaws. Still, every month or two we get to see the fruits it has borne and it's impossible to be unhappy. Valve has released a list of eighteen more games which have been promoted through Greenlight (and two pieces of software). This new batch includes epic indies like Shovel Knight and Legend of Dungeons.
The list doesn't stop at indie darlings, however. Assorted PC games including some that just never stumbled onto Steam, Kickstarter projects and curiosities round out the list. For instance, why is Frozen Endzone on Greenlight after the devs made such a successful game in Frozen Synapse? Here's the full list:
- Agarest: Generations of War
- Angry Video Game Nerd Adventures
- Battle Worlds: Kronos
- City of Steam
- Dead State
- Dead Trigger
- Death Inc.
- Dreamfall Chapters: The Longest Journey
- Frozen Endzone
- Legend of Dungeon
- Pinball Arcade
- Planet Explorers
- Rush Bros.
- Shovel Knight
Many of these games don't yet have profiles on Neoseeker (get dem NeoPoints), but I'd highly recommend heading over to Steam's Greenlight hubs and checking each game out. It's stuffed into the Community tab. Also, there are a ton of great games who just need a bit more attention to get noticed on Greenlight light Divekick and RIOT. Vote, vote, vote.
Until next time, it's good to see Steam Greenlight still adding games in quantity and showing now sign of slowing down. Moreso, I can't wait to try out some of these games when they wrap up development and finally go on sale.
