Pokemon Scramble U, which will likely be named Pokemon Rumble U when it's announced for territories outside of Japan, has released a ton of new sceenshots for fans to behold. This includes the second series of figurines for the game, which includes small statues for Croagunk, Eevee, Genesect, Litwick, Mewtwo, and Zoroark. This second series will release on March 25, a month after the game and the first series of figurines release on April 24.
Each of the figurines can be scanned into the game to play alongside you. Also revealed today was the fact that Japanese players will be able to scan in train tickets for random Pokemon to help out in a pinch. It's, err, doubtful that this feature will come state-side. How would it work? Maybe put codes on McDonalds fries boxes?
Whether you're a fan of Pokemon Rumble or not, it's pretty interesting to see how Nintendo is going all out with the figurines and social features like train-ticket scans for the game. I'm not sure if I'm really interested in the game itself, a Wii U exclusive that hasn't even been confirmed for western release, but these ~$2 figurines are to die for. I need them. They will guard my desk.
The first series of figurines, which will launch in Japan on April 24, include Bulbasaur, Pikachu, Torchic, Piplup, Lucario and Victini. Oh, and each series has a "mystery" figurine as well.
