Kickstarter and Indigogo are the way to go. After just two weeks since launching the Divinity: Original Sin Kickstarter campaign, developer Larian Studios has announced that they've reached their goal of $400,000 -- and then some. You know what that means? Yes, more features, plus Mac and Linux versions of Original Sin.
As of writing, funds sit at a total of $413,959 with 16 more days to go. We're pretty sure they'll get more in the days to come, but with the campaign goal met, Larian's putting together more rewards to their backers. The full list can, of course, be found here on the campaign page. Other add-ons and perks have been requested, so we'll no doubt hear more about that as release approaches.
The highlight has got to be the two additional versions coming out, though.
Larian Studios founder Swen Vincke expressed the company's gratitude to their fans:
"We let RPG fans invest in our game now so that they could reap the gameplay rewards this fall, and they responded en masse. There were plenty of high-profile Kickstarter campaigns going on when we started out, yet we consistently managed to be in the top 3 on Kicktraq.com. I’m very proud of having such a vocal and supportive community and we’ll do everything we can to not disappoint them. Thank you all!"
