This is an excellent marketing scheme by Microsoft. They have given the perception of having this always on feature to get this massive talk about their new product. I bet it wont have it, then all the talk will be about how great Microsoft is for not including that feature, resulting in a lot of sales for them. Look at all the discussion it's made over the forums on the net. People are talking about it, and paying attention to it. Detail one fault it may have, then take that fault away and it seems as though the company cares and is providing a good product.

Great marketing

If this is indeed true, then damn. I'm really disappointed in how Microsoft and Sony announced their next-gen consoles. For some reason I'm just not hyped up enough. :/

500$ aint that bad at all...ps4 will probably be the same...but i doubt i will be getting either console because i almost exclusively play my games on the pc these days...im not saying these consoles will be bad but i would rather spend 500-600€ on new pc parts like a graphics card, cpu, ram etc... than buy the xbox or ps4 because the pc will always have better quality and frame rates.

Some companies dont support PC's as much as consoles though.

Yuck $500 I know consoles at launch are always the most expensive but $500 is a bit much, especialy when you are going to drop another $50 - $100 on a game or so. Why would you buy the console and not get a game lol.

Anyways batsman

Hopefully when they say a $300 and $500 system, the $500 one will effect how much their crappy online service costs. If not, I don't see a lot of people buying a $500 Kindle Fire (Get it? You have to have a subscription to do anything on those things without hacking them!).

Not liking this so far... I think I'll stick with my PC.
