It has been almost two months since Pokemon X and Y's last Pokemon was revealed, Eevee-lution Sylveon. Nintendo and Game Freak are back at it again, however, and have stepped up their game a hundred times over. Introducing... well, the Pokemon doesn't have an announced name yet. It does, however, have a striking resemblance to the classic Legendary Pokemon Mewtwo. Dun, dun, DUNH!
Mew...three was revealed on the latest episode of the Japanese television show Pokemon Smash. It's said to "share many traits with Mewtwo" and likely is related in some other, nefarious ways. Seeing as Mewtwo debuted in Pokemon Red and Blue, this new Pokemon has been waiting some time to make its grand entrance.
For more information on this new Pokemon X and Y Pokemon, well, you'll have to wait. That means make sure to speculate your hearts out. To help the cause, here are a half dozen screenshots of the new Pokemon. Included are images of each of the Pokemon's main four moves. I have a feeling this isn't even its final form. POKEMON.
Pokemon X and Y are still scheduled for release in October 2013 exclusively on the Nintendo 3DS. The new Pokemon joins the shortlist of announced Pokemon including starters Chespin, Froakie and Fennekin -- and of course Sylveon as well. Also, make sure to check out the community discussion in the forums which is... gasp... over 100 pages long already. They call it Newtwo, because they're cleverer than I am.
