Company of Heroes 2 's multiplayer closed beta began earlier this week for pre-order customers, but now there's an entirely different reason to drop some money on the game ahead of time. SEGA has released details on the pre-order incentives for Company of Hereos 2, which covers fans of both single and multiplayer so no one is left in the cold.
The Theatre of War mini-campaign offers extra missions on the single-player side, although SEGA didn't specify the length. It'll also be available after the launch of COH2, but once again no mention was made of when that'll be if you don't pre-order.
Multiplayer fans get some items to help set their armies apart when waging war. The Winter Ambush and Voronezh Front skin packs offer new vehicle customizations, plus each side receives two multiplayer commanders. German troops can benefit from the Joint Operations Doctrine for some artillery specialization, or the Offensive Spearhead Doctrine to boost heavy armor and air strikes.
Soviet troops, meanwhile, can use the Anti-Infantry Tactics Doctrine, which adds the flamethrower tank and a few other extras, or the Conscript Support Doctrine to help bolster ranks. All the multiplayer bonuses sound pretty useful, especially that last one for the Soviets as it could be a deciding factor between annihilation and surviving another charge.
Company of Heroes 2 is set to arrive on June 25 for the PC. Its closed beta is currently only for pre-order customers, but both Relic and SEGA promise a second phase later on.
