This guy's predecessor is the one who's been eating flak thus far, not exactly sure what pies Moore's been in thus far.

It's nice of him to note failures instead of just waving a "But....Piracy!" flag, or some random excuse out of the bin. Of course, it's his actions that will define whether or not his words actually mean anything, but it'll be interesting to see how 2013 EA plays out.

The ending is unclear to be sure, but I guess ending on a tone of "but we very much value the people who put hard work into making our products" makes sense to a point.

Don't expect much to change, but certainly intrigued by the possibilities.

Award giver: EA, you have won this years worst company in america, do you have anything you wish to say?

Peter moore: Yes, I first would like to thank my mama, who's always had faith in me becoming all that I can be, I'd also love to thank the consumers to who we wouldn't even have a company, much less be awarded this *bleep* statuette for worst company in america, thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

Award giver: Do you have any advice for companies who'll be competing in next years *competition*?

Peter moore: What, why would I want to help my competitors? No I'm merely kidding, but the best advice I can give next years contendors is that to be the worst, ** YOU REALLY HAVE TO TRY HARD AT IT**

People voted for them as the worst company yet buy their games anyway.
that's the other side of the coin. i never fully understood that part because it's how it works but people buy them in large scale anyway yet every time someone brings this up they are the ones who receive negative feedback for saying it :/

sometimes i wonder who really the bad guy is here. EA has done some pretty stupid and sometimes mean things over the years that's obvious but i've seen gamers among us making this so personally i'm not sure anymore if we still want attention for a common problem we have or just somehow corrupted and simply want to see EA destroyed instead?

i mean how many of us in this article alone still secretly enjoy EA's games and complains about it at the same time? for starters i am one. i play mass effect 1 and 3 and BFBC1 and BF3 but i have complained about it and mocked EA in the past so that makes me a hypocrite but i guess there's no need to shame here because i'm not the only one at all.

sometimes all the fuss is nothing but a cry for help if we see past all the anger and complaints. if EA can see their problems then this might be a good time to try and calm down and admit we have some as well.

Except EA doesn't make the games, they just ruin them . Obviously, they fund them too, but it's such a shame.

However they do publish and make money off of them. If you truly want to send EA a message that what they do isn't okay by your standards, don't buy the games. Otherwise it's apparently not that big of a deal.

Yeah, I prefer to just pirate the cracked version of their games instead.

I have to say, even though EA are about the biggest scumbags in gaming, Bank of America should have won that easily. At least EA doesn't ruin people's lives.
But they do!

I cried at the disgusting Mass Effect 3 ending!

I respect this guy. In fact, I want him as CEO. I dont see why you're all hating on him. He made valid points and realised most (but not all) of the problems with EA and why people hate them. I'm guessing all of you are thinking "He's working with EA, we should instantly hate him."

Hey a new face.
It's good to hear that he, unlike anyone else in the dang company, has realized there is a problem, and the first step in fixing a problem is admitting you have one. Unfortunately, that's about all we have so far, though, and I remain to be skeptical until changes are realistically implemented.
And until this company can prove to us that they're going to change for the better, there will be no more support from me (which is hard, it seems like almost every game has EA plastered on it somewhere...) I wish you luck, Moore, you've got your work cut out for you on this one.

And it's because of people like you there's always online games.
Yet I find it ironic that people like you end up complaining about online only the most.

You really are the most aggressive person on the internet, man.

I would only pirate their game if it had annoying-ass DRM, which people always manage to crack anyway. So, what ends up happening is, I get to play their game and they do not get any money from me, SIMPLY BECAUSE they put DRM on there.

And I honestly don't pirate games at all. It was more of a joke, but whatever.
