If you were planning to get Deus Ex: Human Revolution - Director's Cut, then prepare for an improved version of what everyone else got in 2011. The Wii U version (that's the Director's Cut thing) will have some exclusive improvements like a strategy guide, updated graphics and somewhat better boss fights.
The "exclusive" part does mean that only the Wii U gets these improvements, however, as Eidos has no current plans to implement them for any other version. That means anyone playing Deus Ex: Human Revolution on Xbox 360, PS3, or PC will just have to settle for what they've got.
Apparently the abysmal boss fights haven't been completely redone to a point where they're actually great, but Eidos Montreal has reworked them a bit based on player complaints, like making these encounters actually doable regardless of how you've built Adam. Yes, they actually did all this in-house, rather than make the same mistake twice.
There's always the possibility that these improvements will make it over, but Eidos has no plans for that right now.
Emile Pedneault, game designer for Deus Ex Wii U, remarked:
“I'm not here to speculate about the status of it right now, but we just delivered the ultimate experience and we just took advantage of all the Wii U features in every possible way we can. So hopefully, things will pick up in the future, and we'll make some new and old fans pretty happy with this version.”
