Do you remember those no-name-brand consoles that have the "30 in 1!" games? The Ouya is this generations that, but a bit more sophisticated. The only thing I recognize is FF3, Twitch, SuperGNES.

bluexy just for those two things would you really spend $99 though? You can do both on your PC at the cost of $0-30 depending if you want a decent controller.

tekmosis Yeah I'd like a way to get those things on my TV without making it too complicated.

You should wait for the Steam Box, I think you'd get more bang for your buck with that.

tekmosis Definitely sage advice. I'm in no hurry. Want to see how this Ouya holds up across the board before I even seriously consider buying anything.

It's starting to sound cheap and nasty yeah. I'm more interested in the steam box.

The only thing on there that I remotely care about is Canabalt. And that is a browser-based flashgame, so why the hell would I pay $99 for this?

That about twice as many as I expected and less than half of what it'll have come June, I'm struggling to see a reason to not get this console anymore. I mean emulators, TV streaming (Netflix & Twitch), plus decent game all for $99. It has truly earned it's place on my WishPlz list.

The only thing I've heard of is FFIII and the emulators. I already have the other versions of FFIII and I have more emulators than I can count. Ouya is interesting but as of now it's just a gimmicky little box.

SuperGNES? Wonder if Nintendo will challenge Ouya over that. I know it's been around for awhile on Android but they've never considered a tablet as a contender, but with Nintendo operating it's virtual console on the Wii (and Wii U), I don't expect Nintendo to be happy about it.

Well thats.. that was a very disappointing selection. I'm not much for androids anyway. The only temptation I still have is the low price tag.

Ouya has potential for being that unwanted console your grandma buys you.
